-

MIRI: Zainal Ajamain, author of ‘ The Queen’s Obligation’ will be back again here tomorrow with his forum on Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63) and the formation of Malaysia.

This will be his third visit to the city for the purpose of educating Sarawakians about MA63 and Sarawak’s rights and autonomy.

It is organised by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Miri branch and will be held at Pustaka Miri.

“As Sarawakians, we must know the actual history of the formation of Malaysia and the circumstances surrounding it.

“This is essential for all Sarawakians to give them a clearer picture and better understanding on how Malaysia was formed,” organising chairman Adam Yii said.

He encouraged younger Sarawakians to attend the forum to know more about Sarawak’s history which was normally not taught in schools.

Zainal will illustrate the key points on ‘Sarawak Awakens Forum’ on ‘A Missing Piece of Our History’, ‘Safeguard in the Inter- Governmental Committee ( IGC) and MA 63’ and ‘How the Borneo states lost their Wealth’, and also on other interesting topics related to Sarawak’s rights and autonomy.

The last forum on Jan 24 attracted 150 locals including those from Brunei.

Yii who is SUPP Pujut branch chairman, hoped more people would come to the next forum.

Admission is free.
