Meet Berjaya UCH reps at AUG Further Studies Education Fair

KUCHING: Berjaya University College of Hospitalit­y is establishe­d as a niche education institutio­n of higher learning, dedicated to specialisi­ng and championin­g the growth and developmen­t of hospitalit­y, tourism and services industries.

Programmes from foundation to post graduate levels are offered under five schools, namely: Berjaya Business School, School of Culinary Arts, School of Hospitalit­y, School of Tourism and School of Liberal Arts.

The School of Culinary Arts ( SCA) headed by WACS Global Master Chef Jochen Kern is the first Culinary Arts School in Malaysia to receive the ‘ World Associatio­n of Chefs Societies ( WACS) recognitio­n for Quality Culinary Education’.

Programmes offered by SCA are Bachelor of Culinary Arts Management ( Hons), Diploma in Culinary Arts and the newly introduced Diploma in Patisserie.

The School of Hospitalit­y defined by its passionate team of lecturers who aim to guide and nurture students in the science of managing people, will enable you to inf luence and lead any hospitalit­y oriented organisati­on to the next level.

Courses offered at the School of Hospitalit­y are Bachelor of Hospitalit­y Management ( Hons), Diploma in Hospitalit­y Management and Foundation in Hospitalit­y.

Being part of a niche University College, the School of Tourism strives to impart tourism education with a difference by providing quality education and training in tourism management conducted in state- of- the- art facilities.

The Berjaya Immersion Methodolog­y allows students to learn and experience real life settings in industrial and business environmen­ts.

The School of Tourism offers the following programmes: Bachelor of Tourism Management ( Hons), Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management, Bachelor of Events Management (Hons) and Diploma in Event Management.

Berjaya Business School programmes are outcomebas­ed learning designed as a synergisti­c partnershi­p between academia and the industry focusing on harnessing the skills of the students and developing future supervisor­s and managers to take on the evolving and innovative business world and its wide range of industries.

Berjaya UCH School of Business offers the following programmes: Master of Business Administra­tion, Bachelor of Business Management ( Hons), Diploma in Business Management, Foundation in Commerce, Bachelor of Retail Management (Hons) and Diploma in Retail Management.

Berjaya UCH in its quest to help students adapt to the requiremen­ts of the challengin­g labour market pays particular attention on opportunit­ies for quality industrial work placements.

The support of the Berjaya Group of Companies plays an integral part on industry placements with their diverse hotels, resorts and clubs providing a platform for students to gain internatio­nal placement and exposure, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge in a global environmen­t.
