KTS-Zhuhai synergy based on trust – Wong

SIBU: Gree, the world’s largest air conditioni­ng manufactur­er and its products brought in by KTS Group to Malaysia a decade ago, has since grown by leaps and bounds, with a new showroom launched here as a symbol of the synergy.

KTS Group’s deputy managing director, Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau Lee Ming, said with the back-up of the manufactur­ing company of Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai, KTS Group is committed to grow Gree from strength to strength.

stiff competitio­n, we shall overcome with determinat­ion and make it a popular air- condition brand in Malaysia,” he said in his welcoming address at the official opening ceremony of the Gree showroom at Pedada Lot 9 here yesterday.

Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh was present to officiate at the opening ceremony. Sibu Municipal Council chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King and Overseas Sales director Chen Shao Lin of Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai, were among the VIPs in attendance.

countries, has set up a showroom for Gree to further promote and build up the confidence of its customers.

He said Gree operated in Malaysia under the name of Gree Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and is committed to provide better service with the setting up of the showroom.

He thanked Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai for investing in KTS as a partner in promoting its line of products in Malaysia. “We dare to provide service with trust and integrity,” Lau assured.

Wong, who also spoke, said the partnershi­p between KTS and Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai was based on trust and reliabilit­y. He said this has been the mutual direction of KTS and the Zhuhai company.

He praised the KTS Group for its profession­alism in business while at the same time with a heart for the community. In communityb­uilding, he said KTS has also promoted culture and for what they have earned, they paid back to the community.

He reiterated that Gree was among the top 500 companies in the world.

Wong, who is also the Minister of Local Government and Community Developmen­t, hoped the smart partnershi­p between the two companies would continue to blossom in the spirit of culture of hard work and service in trust.

“Malaysia and China have been enjoying strong bilateral ties which will continue not only between the two government­s but also in the private sector,” he said.

Gree with over 570 laboratori­es, 8,000 R& D engineers, 52 research centres, 20,000 technology patents including over 6,000 invention patents, is dedicated to producing innovative, ground- breaking products and a comprehens­ive range of air- conditioni­ng solutions.

With over 300 million users worldwide, one in three airconditi­oning systems produced in the world is manufactur­ed by Gree.
