KUCHING: Metro 360 Hotel Kuala Lumpur, managed by Sarawak well-known hotels operator 360 Hotels Group, had its soft opening on Feb 24.

One of the best features of this hotel is its location at Changkat Raja Chulan.

This property, which is owned by Sarawak-based Lee Ling Group, took about 24 months to transform from an office suite building (formerly known as MCB Plaza) into a 20-storey hotel.

This newly refurbished hotel, comprising 223 brand new guestrooms and suites, is now ready to receive its guests to experience the Malaysian and Sarawakian hospitality.

This fresh and contemporary hotel has four types of guestrooms: Superior, Deluxe, Premier and Suites.

All the rooms are modern and chic with warm colours, complete with a Sarawakian feel and elements. Every room is fitted with a photo frame featuring Sarawak local culture, iconic buildings or local businesses in Sarawak. All photos were taken by Sarawakian photographer Brandon Goh.

Among the amenities in each room are flat screen television with local and cable TV channels, complimentary wireless broadband internet access, mini bar fridge, laptop size security safe, tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing boards and hair dryers, plush beds, high pressure rain shower and self- controlled air- conditioning system.

Other facilities in the hotel include a coffeehouse and bar (both currently under renovation), 3 mid size seminar rooms, a business center, an infinity swimming pool and a gymnasium (currently under renovation).

The hotel also provides modern and sophisticated facilities for all guests, including complimentary high- speed wireless Internet access and computer stations. Soon, the hotel will also provide regular shuttle van drop offs for guests at popular entertainment and shopping areas around the hotel.

Metro 360 Hotel Kuala Lumpur can also be used to host events from business seminars and cocktail receptions to social gatherings. Its vibrant seminar rooms can accommodate up to 80 seats.

Groups can arrange small business lunches and dinners as well.

The function rooms can also accommodate small wedding dinners and birthday parties.

The 360 Hotels Group managing director Dato Steve Ng said being strategically located at Changkat Raja Chulan, ( between KLCC and Bukit Bintang), the hotel is the best place to stay for business, shopping and leisure.

“I am very excited about the new hotel. Bukit Bintang is where everyone wants to be. With our competitive rate, value for money concept, what we are offering for the type of product and quality is unbeatable.

“Last year was a soft year for tourism Malaysia, in general. It is challenging, but I am optimistic we will see a turnaround in the market in the second half of this year.”

In conjunction with its soft opening, the hotel is providing a special introductory rate of RM 185+ per night for its superior rooms.
