PBB Kampung Kudei election machinery all ready for state polls

-

KUCHING: The election machinery of PBB Kampung Kudei Lama branch has long been in full gear and ready to win big for Barisan Nasional ( BN) in the coming 11th state election.

“We will give it all our efforts to ensure that the candidate for Satok would win with a huge majority,” its chief Sarbini Abang told reporters after chairing the branch’s meeting held at Sarawak Bumiputera Chamber of Entrepreneurs (DUBS) here on Sunday.

According to him, there has been an increase in the number of registered voters at Jalan Nanas polling district that consists of Rubber Road West, Nanas Road West, and Jalan Tengah.

He said as at Dec 31 last year, 606 new voters were registered, bringing the total number to 4,017 voters for Jalan Nanas polling district.

On another matter, he said PBB Kampung Kudei Lama branch strongly condemned the vandalism act committed upon PBB Satok operations room on Saturday – the culprits of whom he described as hooligans who had no sense of professionalism and who were out just to provoke PBB Satok.

“It is obvious that their motive was none other than to cause provocation. To sabotage other party in this manner as election approaches is not our culture,” he said.

Meanwhile, PBB Youth Kudei Lama chief Azmi Hipni concurred with Sarbini that such an incident should not have happened.

He said there were certain quarters who tried to bring such unhealthy provocative culture from the West when election is around the corner. This, he added, was uncalled for especially when on their part, they were carrying out their campaigning democratically.

“However, PBB will not retaliate or emulate their non-professional behaviour,” he said.
