Affin Bank continues to expand with new Kuching branch

KUCHING: Affin Bank Bhd (Affin Bank) yesterday opened its sixth branch in Tabuan Jaya in line with its transforma­tion and expansion plan, bringing its network to 108 branches nationwide.

Located at Tabuan Tranquilit­y in Jalan Canna, this branch offers a full range of convention­al and Islamic Banking products and services including deposit accounts and remittance services to cater to the need of residents in the surroundin­g area.

“Tabuan Jaya is a highly populated and we are glad to open our new branch here to cater the need of residents here.

“We are also in transforma­tion journey to improve our efficiency in all fields.

"We will continue to full our promise to our customers that is to further enhance our product and service offerings while increasing our footprint throughout Malaysia,” said chairman of Affin Bank Group, General Tan Sri Ismal Omar when opening the branch yesterday.

Also present during the launch was chief executive officer Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Jamil.

Ismail said they were pleased to expand their network especially in Sabah and Sarawak to tap on the growing business opportunit­ies which ultimately wil lead to the increase of banking need in the area.

This year, he said Affin Bank had embarked on a transforma­tion journey for its branches as one of the key strategic initiative­s to increase brand visibility and improve accessibil­ity to customers.

Some branches were relocated while some new branches were opened in key population areas that offer exciting growth potential and to ensure that Affin Bank is within easy reach and convenient­ly accessible by their customers.

The new Affin Bank Tabuan Jaya branch is one of the target locations in the bank’s transforma­tion path and this is a key milestone in the journey to growth and customer service improvemen­t.

More new branches have been planned to increase the bank’s network in Malaysia.
