Coway wins gold at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2016 Awards
KUCHING: Coway Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Coway), a leading Korean consumer and household electronics company, was once again recognised as one of the most trusted brands in the region when it received the Gold Award at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2016 Awards in the Water Purifier category.
This win marked the second time Coway has received a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award, having previously won the award last year.
In a press statement, Kyle Choi Ki-Ryong, managing director of Coway said, “Coway is humbled to receive the prestigious Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Gold Award, which was voted by Malaysian consumers.
“This is a significant win for us as it demonstrates our customers’ trust and confidence in our brand, and motivates us to continue our strive in making the world a better, cleaner and safer place through our high-tech products with innovative and modern design.
“Despite the slow economy, sales figure of Coway Malaysia in 2016 the first quarter has increased 88 per cent compared to same period in 2015.”
The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey is the premier consumer-based, international measure of brand preference.
It seeks to identi fy which brands consumers in Asia trust, and to provide an objective and reliable reference for consumers throughout the region.
The survey was conducted in five markets across Asia namely Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan the Philippines.
The Gold Trusted Brand Award is given to brands that scored significantly higher than their rivals.
In addition to its win at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2016 Awards, Coway has received numerous other recognitions for its brand such as the International Design Excellence Award and Gold Seal recognition from Water Quality Association ( WQA).
In 2015, it also won the Superbrands – Malaysia’s Choice in Water Filtration Category award.
