Amber Heard grilled for seven hours over Depp abuse case

-

AMBER Heard’s deposition lasted seven hours.

The ‘ Magic Mike XXL’ star was questioned under oath by her estranged husband Johnny Depp’s legal team on Saturday (Aug 13) in relation to her claims the ‘Mortdecai’ actor was abusive to her, and she was asked in “great detail” about claims of past violence.

According to TMZ, Amber was quizzed about a number of alleged incidents between her and the 53-year- old actor, not just the row they had on May 21, which signalled the end of their marriage after Johnny allegedly threw an iPhone at her.

During the questioning from the ‘ Pirates of the Caribbean’ star’s lawyer, Blair Berk, Amber was asked why five concierges, two police officers and a number of security guards saw no signs of any sort of injuries following the alleged altercation in May.

The ‘Danish Girl’ star insisted she was injured and couldn’t account for what other people saw.

The deposition had been delayed a number of times, with Amber held up in the UK and missing a hearing on Friday (Aug 12) morning, while the previous weekend she had spent nine hours at Johnny’s lawyer’s offices but was not questioned.

Meanwhile, another settlement offer is said to have been put on the table, with the legal representatives keen to have everything finalised before a trial is scheduled to begin on Wednesday (Aug 17).

Amber recently insisted she wanted to settle with her estranged spouse so she can put her ordeal behind her as she “underestimated the toll” her divorce would take.

Amber reportedly also insisted that she was not responsible for a recently leaked video, which showed the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ star shouting at her and smashing a wine glass.

In the video, Amber appears to try and calm her husband down after asking if he had been drinking from a bottle of wine. The 30-year- old beauty later tells Johnny she is sorry for something, although it is not clear what.

She says: “What happened? I just woke up and you were so sweet, and nice. We were not even fighting this morning. All I did was say sorry.”

To which then replies: “You want to see crazy, I’ll show you something crazy.”

After that, Johnny appears to try and take Amber’s phone off her when he notices her filming him.

Sources close to Johnny claimed the video was “heavily edited” and that Amber was encouraging him and smiling.

It is not clear how the video made it into the public domain.

Amber and Johnny split up in May and she was granted a temporary restraining order after accusing him of domestic abuse.
