Putra honours top industry brands and personalit­ies at 2016 Awards

KUALA LUMPUR: Top industry brands stamped their marks in different categories at the recent Putra Brand Awards 2016.

A press statement said the awards 2016 featured 24 award categories where the gold winners included Apparel and Accessorie­s – Casio; Automotive – Toyota; Automotive Fuel and Lubricants – Shell, Petronas; Beverage (Alcoholic) – Carlsberg; Beverage ( Non-Alcoholic) Milo, 100 Plus; Beverage ( Dairy) Dutch Lady, Vitagen; Photograph­y ( Camera) – Samsung; Communicat­ion Devices – Samsung; and Communicat­ion Networks – Maxis.

Other categories were Education and Learning (Taylor’s University); Banking, Investment and Insurance ( Maybank); Foodstuff ( Gardenia); Health (Dettol, Panadol); IT and Office and Business Equipment (Samsung); Household Product ( Dynamo); Home Improvemen­t ( Ikea); Media Network (Astro); Entertainm­ent (GSC); Personal, Household and Outdoor Appliances ( Panasonic); Personal Care (Colgate); Property Developmen­t (Sime Darby); Retail (Aeon, Tesco); Restaurant­s and Fast Food Outlets ( KFC); and Transporta­tion, Travel and Tourism (AirAsia).

In addition, there were five special awards honouring the dynamic brands with their respective distinctiv­e values and four of them were won by U Mobile (Putra Most Enterprisi­ng Brand of the Year), Milo (Putra Brand of the Year Brand), Astro’s Marketing Team (Putra Malaysian Marketer of the Year Award), and Founder of Mamee ( Putra Brand Personalit­y Award) Datuk Pang Chin Hin.

Meanwhile, the Brand Icons recognises brands with four consecutiv­e Gold Awards. Putra Brand Awards is the premier brand awards in Malaysia and it is the only brand award of, by and for brand managers and owners.

Launched in 2010 by the Associatio­n of Accredited Advertisin­g Agents Malaysia (4As) in associatio­n with the Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands ( MMVB), the Putra Brand Awards recognise brand building as an integral business investment, measured by consumer preference.
