KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is assisting 25 industry partners to the Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings (IT and CM) Asia 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand to strengthen the existing collaboration with international buyers.

In a statement yesterday, MyCEB, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, said the aim is also to get more regional and international corporate meetings and incentive travel groups to come to Malaysia.

Industry players currently participating at the three- day trade show, which begins today, include hotels, venue providers, corporate incentive operators and airlines as well as state tourism bureaus.

“With new developments, stateof-the-art facilities and attractive unique venues to offer business event participants, Malaysia hopes to entice more corporate incentive groups from all over the world and, in particular, the Asian region,” MyCEB said.

In conjunction with IT and CM Asia 2016, MyCEB also organised a special product presentation to selected Thai meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) operators.

It said since January 2016, a group of 100 corporate incentive participants from Thailand have come to enjoy Malaysia’s corporate incentive offerings.

“We were glad to be given that opportunity and look forward to bringing more corporate incentive groups from Thailand this year and the years to come,” said MyCEB chief executive officer Datuk Zulkefli Sharif. — Bernama
