SARIKEI: Hyrax Oil Sdn Bhd is partnering Hing Soon Motor ServicesSdnBhdasasoledistributor of Hyrax oil in Sarikei.

Hyrax Oil managing director Datuk Hazimah Zainuddin said the partnership was not limited to supplying or distribution of the company’s products but also to explore fully the local market.

She expressed confidence that Hing Soon Motor Services under the able leadership of Wong Huat Thai as its general manager would be able to expand their business collaboration with Hyrax Oil throughout the state.

“Based on his experience and business network, Wong fulfils the criteria as Hyrax Oil distributor, and I believe the partnership with Hyrax Oil will open a new business dimension with a view to expand throughout the state,” she said during the soft launching ceremony of the business partnership at Hing Soon Motor Services premises in Central Road here yesterday.

Hazimah also hoped that Hing Soon Motor Services would be able to identify potential markets for their Hyrax brand of lubricant oil products to all sectors, including the government, industries and retailers.

Although Hyrax Oil has been around in the state since 20 years ago, it was limited to the supply of transformer testing oil to Sarawak Energy Bhd and lubricant to Demak Motor, she said.

Hyrax oil is of international standard and is exported to 35 countries. It is currently taking an aggressive step to explore the African and China markets.

Assistant Minister for Workforce Development and Training Datu Len Talif Salleh was invited to witness the ceremony.

Sarikei Resident Dr Anthony Valentine Laiseh, Acting Resident Mohd Said Atoi, a political secretary to the chief Minister Teng Ung Woo, Hyrax chief operating officer Adlan Arif and Hing Soon Motor Services branch manager Jenny Wong were also present at the event.
