Could a reunion tour be on the cards for Oasis?

RUMOURS have begun that Oasis founders Liam and Noel Gallagher could be reuniting for an Oasis tour.

Rumours of an Oasis reunion tour are starting to fly, as UK bookies slash the odds of the band reforming in the next year, reports NME.

Bookies’ odds are currently 3/1 of the band getting back together before the end of 2016, and are the same for them reuniting in 2018.

A 2019 reunion appears to be slightly less likely with 4/1 odds.

However British bookmakers Betway think a 2017 reunion is most likely, with the upcoming release of the band’s documentary “Supersonic” and a reissue of their 1997 album “Be Here Now,” and are offering those who feel like a flutter 5/4 odds that the band will be back next year.

“The betting suggests that 2017 is the most likely year for Oasis to get back together at 5/4,” said Betway’s Alan Alger.

“But with the band’s biopic set to be released next month, some might say that our offer of 3/1 for Oasis to reform by the end of this year is good value.”

The film’s director, Matt Whitecross, also believes an Oasis reunion is set to happen, although the Gallagher brothers, who have always been famous for their public altercations, came to blows only recently.

“Supersonic” is set to premiere in the band’s hometown of Manchester on Sunday, Oct 2 with the reissue of “Be Here Now” due just days later on Oct 7. — Relaxnews
