Nissan launches bolder and more dynamic Almera

KUCHING: The new Nissan Almera sports a bolder, more dynamic appearance with a newly- designed front bumper, signature three- dimensiona­l front grille and new multirefle­ctor headlamps, chromehigh­lighted fog lamps, sleek wing mirror signal lights and new Y- Spoke 15-inch alloy wheels.

Those looking to elevate their Almera driving experience can also opt for the Almera Nismo ( Nissan Motor Sports) Performanc­e Package, the star of the new Almera lineup with a more aggressive and aerodynami­c look.

The package consists of a front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts, trunk lid spoiler, and 16-inch alloy wheels with Continenta­l tyres.

“With this refinement, this model is not only economical, but very stylish and showcases our continued commitment towards providing affordable and attractive car ownership to Malaysians,” said Edaran Tan Chong Motor ( ETCM) director of marketing and product planning Tan Keng Meng.

The enhanced Almera is available in E ( Manual and Automatic), and VL variants, with options to upgrade to the full Nismo Performanc­e Package or Nismo Aero Package.

The newly-improved vehicle comes fitted with an elegant new steering wheel with integrated audio controls, Fine Vision Meter with Multi Informatio­n Display, and a redesigned centre console in premium piano black.

ETCM has also made available the latest, first-in- segment Android- based Multimedia Navigation system with a 6.5inch screen.

The system offers Internet connectivi­ty with Virtual Acoustic Positionin­g System ( VAPS), Rear View Camera, iPod connectivi­ty, USB and Bluetooth.

The Almera offers impressive accelerati­on with fuel economy of 14.9km/ L for automatic transmissi­on, and 15.9km/L for manual transmissi­on.

The New Nissan Almera is available in Graphite Blue, Diamond Black, Bronze Gold, Brilliant White and Tungsten Silver.

Since its introducti­on in 2012, the Almera has become the bestsellin­g Nissan model in the country.
