Huawei’s new customer centre to help drive Malaysia’s digital economy transforma­tion

KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei’s new Customer Solution Integratio­n and Innovation Experience Centre (CSIC) here will help drive the nation’s digital economy transforma­tion.

Chief executive officer for Malaysia Abraham Liu said Huawei’s customers and partners can leverage on this innovative platform to design and test technology solutions, verify new business models, nurture innovative applicatio­ns and services to both the public and private sectors.

“This centre has been designed as an informatio­n and communicat­ions technology (ICT) innovation hub and centre of excellence to drive the industry’s open ecosystem as well as accelerate the digital economy transforma­tion in Malaysia.

“In addition, Huawei plans to further establish Cloud, the Internet of Things, Video and Big Data labs in the three years,” he said at the launch of the centre located at the Integra Tower@ the Intermark here yesterday.

The state-of-art centre was inaugurate­d by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak yesterday.

Covering 13,000 square feet, Huawei’s CSIC aggregates over 120 reference applicatio­ns and services across the world.

Abraham said through the centre, Huawei would continue to bring global experience­s to the Malaysian context, serve better the needs of the ICT industry and help stakeholde­rs succeed in their businesses.

“To accelerate Malaysia’s digital transforma­tion, we need to focus on cross industry partnershi­ps to deliver the right skills, solutions and infrastruc­ture,” he added. — Bernama
