as the ‘ Talikhidmat’ and the State Civil Service ( SCS) complaints management, where speedy and fast action had been taken.

Abang Johari, who is also Housing and Urbanisation Minister, pointed out that another important aspect was the strategic engagement of SCS and the elected representatives with the target groups consisting of community leaders, media, non-governmental organisations ( NGOs) and youths.

This measure would be aimed at gaining feedback proactively from these groups, addressing issues before they escalated, engaging in community- centric programmes, hearing the voices of the community, facilitating meaningful participation from them and fostering social changes.

“As a responsible government, it is very essential that we establish a platform to ensure that maximum information must reach the ‘ rakyat’ to make them understand better the government’s function, policies, programmes and projects meant to benefit them.

“To summarise, the state PR strategy is people- centric – designed to serve the people of Sarawak better; thus making it a strategic agent of change in assisting the transformation of Sarawak,” said Abang Johari.
