JKKKs receive MRP grants from Semop rep

SIBU: Six village security and developmen­t committees (JKKKs) in Semaring area received Minor Rural Project ( MRP) grants from Semop assemblyma­n Abdullah Saidol recently.

The JKKKs are from Rumah Galayan which received RM5,000, Rumah Libau ( RM5,000), Rumah Pagan ( RM5,000), Rumah Atat ( RM4,500), Rumah Layang ( RM2,500) and Rumah Anyut (RM2,500).

Moreover, JKKK Rumah Atat also received a generator worth RM3,600, while JKKK Rumah Layang was given one worth RM3,000.

JKKK Rumah Sulong from Sungai Mupong received a PA system worth RM1,426.

For the schools, Abdullah gave a total of RM16,000 to SK Abang Amin, SK Selidap, SK Tanjung Bundong and SK Sungai Sian for them to organise their prize-giving and sports day events.

SK Mupong parents-teachers associatio­n ( PTA) received RM2,000 for their education tour programme to Bintulu, while SJKC Ming Shing received 30 sets of chairs and tables costing RM5,400.

Masjid Darul Ibadah at Kampung Tanjung Bundong received plastic chairs and tables worth RM4,100.

Pemanca Suhaili Bujang represente­d Abdullah to hand out the funds in Bintangor, witnessed by Semop Special Affairs Department officer Kamsul Suhaili, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Meradong branch deputy chief Morsili Bakar, and local councillor­s – Nicholas Abu Seman, David Juni, Dayang Hamidah Abang Sarkawi and Seli Judi.
