Pemudah invites media to join journalism competitio­n 2016

PUTRAJAYA: The Special Task Force to Facilitate Business ( Pemudah) invites journalist­s working for any Malaysian newspapers, magazines, online publicatio­n as well as television and radio to participat­e in Pemudah Journalism Competitio­n 2016.

Pemudah, in a statement, yesterday said entries should be articles published between January 2016 till December 2016 and the competitio­n closes on Dec 31, 2016.

“Entries for online articles should be written with a minimum of 500 words while a broadcast report should be between two to five minutes.

“Entries can be in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin. The prize for the first place winner for each category is RM10,000,” Pemudah said.

The statement added that scope of the entries should focus on any one or more of the 11 areas of doing business in Malaysia, among others, starting a business, dealing with constructi­on permits, getting electricit­y, registerin­g property and getting credit.

Other areas are protecting minority investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts, labour market regulation and resolving insolvency.
