Putra Perdana constructi­on clinches RM408 mln contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Putrajaya Perdana Bhd’s subsidiary, Putra Perdana Constructi­on Sdn Bhd (PPC), has clinched a RM408 million contract to build a 17-storey service apartment for Sime Darby Ara Damansara Developmen­t Sdn Bhd. Chief executive officer Goh Ceah Chuang said the ‘ Cantara Residences’ project, expected to be completed by May, 2019, would contribute positively to the financial performanc­e of the company.

“With this RM408 million contract and with our current order book in hand, we are confident of maintainin­g a positive performanc­e for the group in the coming financial years,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The project, in Ara Damansara, would be sprawled over 288.14 hectares of land and involve the constructi­on of 756 serviced apartments.

Another nine floors, comprising 108 units of serviced apartments, would be built above the podium located on level six.

The latest ‘Cantara Residences’ project brings the total value of projects secured by PPC in 2016 to about RM765 million.

As of October 31, 2016, PPC’s outstandin­g order book and tender book stood at approximat­ely RM1.25 billion and RM1.93 billion, respective­ly.

PPC is currently working on submitting tenders for approximat­ely RM6 billion worth of contracts.

Other projects tendered and won by PPC in 2016 included the RM370 million ‘28 Boulevard’ developed by Best Boulevard Sdn Bhd and the second 300m Westport CT8 Wharf owned by Westports Malaysia Bhd for RM126.5 million. — Bernama
