Abang Johari, who is DUBS advisor, said one lane at the Main Bazaar would be closed to traffic every weekend for the night market, while the other lane would remain open to allow the shopowners there to continue sending and accepting deliveries.

“There will be activities every weekend, with buskers and other performances,” he said.

On another matter, Abang Johari – also Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister – pointed out that there were several policies outlined by the federal and state governments that could create opportunities for the Bumiputera community to join in on the development.

Meanwhile, Abang Helmi said among the agenda of the assembly was to elect new office-bearers to serve for the next three years.
