Kolej Sunway offers Interpersonal Enhancement Workshop

-

KUCHING: Kolej Sunway Kuching is offering an Interpersonal Enhancement Workshop (IEW) for those wishing to improve their communication skills.

Assistant manager for marketing and sales Steven Tan said the college expects students who just sat for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM) to enrol while waiting for their results.

“Knowing how to successfully engage and interact with other people is critical to many aspects of success in life. Many jobs stipulate strong interpersonal or communication skills as key requirement and people with enhanced communication skills often experience healthier relationship both personally and professionally,” he told a press conference yesterday.

Registration is now open and the workshop will be held next month.

Kolej Sunway Kuching CEO Joseph Lim pointed out that communication skills are important even for those who aspire to become accountants.

“We have designed a six-week workshop that provides the skills associated with effective interpersonal, language and communication behaviour. On completion of the course, those who participated will be able to adapt to styles to accommodate different situations, know how to communicate successfully, enhance personal, work-related relationships and many more,” he said.

Registration is RM300 and the fee will be waived if workshop participants decide to register and enrol in any Kolej Sunway Kuching course after receiving their SPM results.

Kolej Sunway Kuching is also offering a merit award for students who excel in their studies.

Those who attain a minimum 6A’s for their official SPM 2016 forecast results and enrol for IEW are eligible to apply.

A limited number of awards in the form of tuition fee deductions are available.

Each applicant will be assessed based on forecast results and the outcome of an interview with the Merit Awards Committee.
