Acer to showcase newest models at ICT Expo
MIRI: Acer will showcase three of its newest models at the ICT Expo from today ( Dec 2) until Sunday ( Dec 4).
Acer Sales and Services Sdn Bhd Miri branch manager Richard Soo said they are the Acer Swift 7, Acer Swift 3 and Acer Spin 5.
“The Swift 7 model is the world’s thinnest laptop that we are going to showcase during the 3- day ICT expo. It is only 9.98mm thin while the weight is only 1.1kg. It is powered by 7th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with up to nine hours of battery life,” he told a press conference yesterday.
Soo said the Acer Swift 3 model, which was introduced to the Malaysian market last month, now comes in elegant luxury gold.
“This model is powered by 6th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and it features Acer Fingerprint Reader that is paired with Windows Hello to offer an efficient, convenient and secure way to access users’ Windows’ account,” Soo said.
The Acer Spin 5 features Acer’s patented 360- degree dual-torque hinge, providing wobble- free touch experience and easy convertibility to the four useful modes – as a laptop or tablet, in a space saving display mode, or in tent mode for sharing presentations or watching movies.
“Those who purchase any of these three models or other selected Acer models are entitled to receive a 3- day and 2-night voucher worth RM800 at selected hotels in the peninsula.
“This voucher however is limited and it is given on a first come, first served basis,” Soo said.
He added that Acer will also provide free technical inspection of all of its laptops and PCs during the expo.
“We are partnering with IT Store and PC Image and customers can bring their laptops to any of these two booths. The inspections are free,” he said.
