KUCHING: The Sarawak Cheshire Home received an overall air-conditioning and general electrical maintenance as an early Christmas present yesterday, courtesy of Goh Brothers Air Conditioning Sdn Bhd.

A team of over 20 staff members led by managing director Goh Chiok Kiang spent the day at the Home, dedicating the morning to checking wiring, lights and fans, and performing repairs where necessary.

Goh told reporters that this was the air-con specialist company’s first real corporate social responsibility (CSR) outing.

“We have contributed goods before but we wanted to do more this year,” he said, adding that for the staff, it was a break from daily work and an opportunity to contribute their skills to something meaningful.

They also treated the residents to lunch, followed by games. During the photo call, Goh symbolically handed over a number of goods to Sarawak Cheshire Home honorary secretary Francis Johen Adam.

Francis also expressed his thanks to Goh and his team, stating that the home welcomes any form of assistance from all walks of life.

Goh Brothers Air-Conditioning Sdn Bhd will be holding a roadshow next weekend (Dec 912) at the new wing of Boulevard Shopping Mall here.

The roadshow will feature a range of green technology Panasonic air-cons that can help users save electricity bills.
