Regal Group, IMH team up to realise family-friendly mall
KUCHING: Regal Group and IMH Group of Companies (IMH) are teaming up to realise the vision of an enrichment mall in Tropics City, an upcoming property project initiated by Regal Group.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Temasek Cartel Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the renowned Regal Group, and IMH Group of Companies was signed at Regal Galleria, Regal Group’s newly-launched property sales gallery at Jalan Tun Jugah on December 13, 2016.
Representing Regal Group was its executive director, Nicholas Wong while IMH Group of Companies was represented by its executive director, Dr Geraldine Law-Lee.
“The enrichment mall concept was inspired from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and it will be the first of its kind in Kuching. We are trying to present something on a different level, something oriented around family lifestyle,” Wong said.
Wong added that this first oneof-a-kind collaboration with IMH as the one-stop education centre in Tropics City will enhance the value of the enrichment mall.
“Regal is optimistic that with IMH’s mission to be the region’s best service provider of Education and the Arts, we are aligned to promote Tropics City’s ‘Live, Safe, Work, Play’ concept to Kuching.”
During the signing ceremony, Law- Lee commented, “We are attracted by the concept of the enrichment mall. This mall stresses on family values and the importance of education, which is what we have been encouraging all along.”
With the mall being located within the central area at Jalan Song, Law-Lee believed that this strategic spot is convenient for families and children to acquire quality and comprehensive education for academic and vocational development.
“We believe in supporting individuals’ personal growth through education from early childhood to higher learning studies,” added Law-Lee.
The enrichment mall is to offer mothers the destination for a retail and shopping haven where they can enjoy some ‘self-time’ after sending their children to learning centres that conduct lessons on arts, ballet or music classes.
Fitting IMH into the picture, IMH complements Tropics City with its offered courses in junior violin classes, individual music lessons, junior ukulele classes and sape lessons. IMH Academy, a subsidiary of IMH Group of Companies also offers fully-accredited certification and diploma courses in music and early childhood education.
Wong also added that apart from the plenty selections of food and beverages outlets, the mall will feature salons, spa, health centres and convenience stores, to cater to the needs and wants of residents and mall patrons.
Law-Lee is positive that the coming together of two established companies in Tropics City will provide a fresh breather to Kuching as Tropics City will be the first enrichment mall in Kuching, centered on promoting an all-rounded family-friendly environment.
