Donations presented to needy families, care home

-

KUCHING: Volunteer social worker Lim Chee Haw was at the KMC Flats and Home of Santa Clara recently to hand over donations for the poor and needy.

At the KMC Flats, Lim presented donations to two families, namely a blind couple taking care of their grandchildren and the family of a disabled person named Lim Han Seng who relies on a wheelchair.

Christian care home Home of Santa Clara located at BDC on the other hand received donations to help with their daily operations. All donations came in the form of food stuff, donated by Good Samaritans.

Lim is doing all this sincerely for charity, helping anyone who is from a poor and needy background regardless of religion or race.

“Most of the people who come to me want to donate to society due to obligations related to faith and religion and I am doing it too (for the sake of religion). To distribute these donations by Good Aamaritans, I will look for those who truly deserve to be helped like the poor and needy members of the society,” he said.

On another matter, Lim said he can also assist in helping poor non- Muslim families in acquiring coffins during times of bereavement. These coffins are purchased through donations from Good Samaritans. For more information, please contact Lim at 082-248153 or 016- 8070388.

Those who want to donate or give back to society but at the same time remain anonymous may also contact Lim for assistance too.

So far Lim has helped to conduct more than 600 acts of charity ever since he started doing social volunteerism work 10 years ago.

Among the names who recently donated to charity via Lim and wished to be acknowledged are Muara Tabuan E-Best Enterprise, Mr and Mrs Leong and family, and Thian Khiuk Fah (and friends) who is based in the United States.
