Now as good a time as any to set personal health goals – Lau

-

SIBU: Now is as good a time as any for anyone to start anew and set personal goals towards attaining better health.

In giving this advice, Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau believes that there is no better time than the present.

“While we should not be too hard on ourselves in acting upon our resolutions, we should focus on making small, incremental changes to realise whatever it is that we wish to improve,” he said at a dinner here on Saturday, held to mark the second anniversary of Empire Gym.

Lau was welcomed by Empire Gym Sdn Bhd vice-president Ting Cheng Wen at the event, which was also attended by the gym’s directors, fitness instructors and trainers.

Adding on, Lau advised those wishing to realise their resolutions to write down not only their goals, but also the action plans and the deadlines to keep them on track.

“This way, we can monitor our progress.

“I do understand that sometimes, it’s difficult to make changes in our lives, especially with our busy schedules in handling work and family, but I truly hope that all of you could make your health a priority this new year,” he said.

Moreover, Lau was confident that Empire Gym would continue to play a key role in helping the local community get in shape and stay fit.

“The gym is supported by a dedicated team of fitness instructors and trainers, providing a friendly environment to the customers. It appears that Empire Gym has successfully realised the health and fitness aspirations of people of all ages and backgrounds in Sibu.

“Over the past several years, the gym has been achieving tremendous growth – having established its position in today’s highly competitive fitness industry,” he said.
