Restaurant rolls out three nine-course set menus for CNY

KUCHING: Li Garden Restaurant is rolling out the Lunar New Year Reunion Dinner set menus and takeaway options as well as promotions in celebratio­n of its 18th anniversar­y this year.

The restaurant offers a choice of three types of nine- course set menus for a table of 10 people.

The RM599++ set features New Year Yee Sang, Four Hot and Cold Deluxe, Shark Fin Soup with Crab Meat, Snow Pickled Cabbage Steamed Fish, Honey Pork Leg with Buns, Sichuan Crispy Duck, Braised Wild Mushroom with Varieties Vegetables, New Year ‘Get Together’ Steamed Rice and Sweet Chinese Mandarin.

The RM699++ set comprises Good Luck Salmon Fish Yee Sang, Four Special Deluxe Combinatio­n, Shark Fin Soup with Dried Scallop and Bamboo Fungis, CantoneseS­tyle Steamed Grouper Tiger, Teochew Marinated Duck, Deep Fried Prawn Ball in Two Varieties Sauce, Braised Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Mushroom with Broccoli, New Year ‘Get Together’ Steamed Rice and Sweet Chinese Mandarin.

The RM1,499++ set features the Good Luck Salmon Fish Yee Sang, Assorted Lobster Cold and Hot Dish, Shark’s Fin with Crab Meat in Superior Sauce, Whole Suckling Pig, Teochew Style Steamed Pomfret Fish, Peking Duck in Two Flavours, Braised Abalone and Black Mushroom with Broccoli, Teochew Yam Pumpkin Cake and Sweet Chinese Mandarin.

All the auspicious dishes to welcome the ‘Year of the Rooster’ are specially crafted by chefs Yap Chee Keong, Voon Kok Wan and Chang Kok Seng.

The restaurant also presents five new festive dishes namely Roasted Chicken with Garlic and Vinegar Sauce, Sichuan Style Prawns, Spinach Soup, Pomfret Three Flavours and Barbequed Pork Ribs.

Pre-orders for new year reunion takeaway are also available. Pick from an exciting array of festive dishes, with prices starting from RM40.

The takeaway a la carte menu offers Good Luck Yee Sang, Teo Chew Marinated Duck, Herbal Chicken, Honey Pork Leg with Bun, Honey Spare Ribs with Bun, Braised Pork Leg, Fried Spare Rib with Champagne Sauce, Suckling Pig, Thai Style Tilapia, Butter Prawns/Crispy Prawns, Shark’s Fin Soup with Bamboo Fungus, Mixed Vegetables with ‘Fa Chai’, Yang Zhou Fried Rice and Guang Zhou Steamed Rice.

As the restaurant at Hock Lee Centre has limited space, families can book their reunion feasts at the halls of SJKC Chung Hua No 3 at Jalan Padungan here, starting 7pm.

However, only a limited number of tables are available and customers are urged to make their bookings now.

During the Chinese New Year celebratio­n period, customers can also enjoy lunch and get 15 per cent discounts on their bills.

As for the 18th anniversar­y promotions, book 10 tables and get one table free when you celebrate special occasions like birthdays, weddings or engagement­s at the restaurant.

In addition, any ‘birthday star’ will get a free bowl of Bird’s Nest with Rock Candy.
