GLOBAL Education Fair in East Malaysia til March 26
SIBU: GES Global Education Services (M) Sdn Bhd held an education fair at Tanahmas hotel here yesterday, one of the venues for their 38th GLOBAL Education Fair in East Malaysia from March 3-26.
The fair, which ran from 1pm-5pm, was well received by parents and students who thronged the event to find out more about higher education opportunities.
Earlier on, a similar event was held in Miri on March 3 before proceeding to Sibu, followed by Kuching on March 5 at Pullman Hotel from 1pm-5pm, Bintulu on March 6 at Promenade Hotel from 2pm-6pm, Tawau on March 10 at LA Hotel from 2pm-6pm, Sandakan on March 11 at Sabah Hotel from 1pm-5pm, Kota Kinabalu on March 12 at Pacific Sutera Hotel from 1pm-5pm, Lahad Datu on March 25 at My Inn Hotel from 12pm-4pm and finally in Labuan on March 26 at Hotel Grand Dorsett from 2pm6pm.
Besides local institutions, parents can also meet with more than 30 representatives from Australia, UK, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Singapore and Switzerland to find out more about pre-university, undergraduate or postgraduate programmes for their children.
Admission to all the venues is free.
The education fair provides an avenue for parents and students to better understand specific fields of study, as well as general advice on what to do next.
Counsellors are on hand to give the latest information on courses, admission requirements, tuition fees, future career prospects, scholarships, accommodations etc from various institutions participating in the education fair. Additionally, by submitting their application on-the-spot, students can enjoy a free pre-loaded Starbucks Card worth RM30.
Students are reminded to bring along their academic transcripts and IC for application purpose.
