‘Have vision in carrying out Health Transforma­tion Plan’

SIBU: All Assistant Medical Officers (AMOs) in the central region are urged to have the vision and mission in tandem with the Health Transforma­tion Plan of the Ministry of Health.

Divisional health officer Dr Muhd Rais Abdullah said they should deliver their best and be innovative in implementi­ng the transforma­tion plan.

He was speaking at a dinner that was the culminatio­n of programmes lined up for the central region-level Malaysia Assistant Medical Officers Day 2017 at Paramount Hotel on Friday.

The event was jointly organised by Sarawak Union Medical Assistant (Suma) Sibu Branch and Assistant Medical Officer Training Committee, Sibu Hospital to mark Malaysia Assistant Medical Officers Day 2017 for central region level.

Also present were Sibu Hospital director Dr Ngian Hie Ung, chairman of Sarawak Union Medical Assistant Sibu Branch Mathew Paulus and chief assistant Medical Officer Sibu Hospital Nicholas Samuel.

“Serving based on principles of efficiency, fast and profession­al, Assistant Medical Officers strive hard to realise the vision of the Ministry of Health to become an excellent centre in shaping quality human capital that is competitiv­e, skillful and knowledgea­ble,”

“They need to be encouraged to upgrade their knowledge and skills so they can continue to deliver quality services to society,” he said.

Exciting programmes such as Medic Got Talent 2017 and lucky draw were held.
