Army has special programmes to improve soldiers BMI

He said good BMI was important to ensure soldiers were always in good health and the programmes focused on physical exercises as well as dietary advice.

“Part of the programme is exercising every morning, followed by gym work out in the evening and keeping a sound dietary habit,” he pointed out.
Subari was speaking to reporters after officiating at a blood donation drive held yesterday in conjunction with the 84th Army Day celebration at Mile 10 Rascom Camp. Subari said 220 soldiers were taking part in the programme and he was monitoring the progress of soldiers every week to ensure that it would yield result.
