Malaysia to host global FinTech event FINNOVASIA
KUALALUMPUR: FINNOVASIA, Asia’s leading FinTech event, will be hosting their first ever global FinTech conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in partnership with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
Held at Pullman City Centre Hotel and Residences from March 20 to 21, FINNOVASIA KL aims to bring together over 500 financial professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and regulators across the banking, government and technology sectors to share ideas and collaborate on the future of FinTech in Malaysia.
The conference is expected to feature talks and discussion panels by a lineup of 40 speakers from more than 20 countries including MDEC chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Yasmin Mahmood, Bank Negara Malaysia Financial Sector Development director Aznan Abdul Aziz, Malaysia Securities Commission executive director Chin Wei Min, MDEC chief operating officer Datuk Wan Peng, and CIMB Digital Banking managing director and head Kanags Surendran.
The event will focus on key themes around ‘The Future of FinTech in Malaysia, Malaysia’s Unique Mix: Startups, Banks, Islamic Finance, Blockchain, Digital Wealth Management and InsurTech’.
FINNOVASIA uniquely merges a ‘geeky-funky’ startup event with ‘gentlemen club’ banking conferences and creates a unique chemistry between FinTech entrepreneurs, investors, bankers and governments both in Asia and globally.
