Yea Run 2.0 calling for entries

BINTULU: Entries for Yea Run 2.0, an annual night run event, which is scheduled to be held on May 20 is now open for registration.

This most anticipated running event is organised by N Degree Crew in collaboration with GoldenBay Hotel as the main sponsor.

The night run will flag off at 7.30pm at Commerce Square Mall Bintulu.

N Degree Crew director Jacky Yong Ka Yein said for this year, they are targeting to attract about 2,000 runners from throughout Sarawak.

“To make this an eventful year, Yea Run 2.0 will showcase various exciting challenges like virtual run and corporate run with new routes,” he said at a press conference in GoldenBay Hotel yesterday.

For this year’s edition, he said the run will be divided into two route categories namely 5km and 10km.

For the 5km category the fee is RM50 per person while it is RM65 for the 10km category.

“For early bird special, pay for five and get one free entry for both categories before April 9,” said Yong.

He added every runner will be given goodies bag, a pull string bag, quick dry t- shirts, waterproof race bib, F& B voucher and finisher medal.

For accomodation, special room rate at GoldenBay Hotel will be given to participants from outside of Bintulu.

Yong said the main objective of this event is to bring awareness of the risk of breast cancer.

He said in order to promote positive attitude towards breast cancer, pink ribbon will be printed on every Yea Run 2.0 tshirt.
