Records officers take part in ‘One File, One Week’ campaign
KUCHING: Sarawak State Library will once again conduct a ‘One File, One Week’ campaign from Apr 17 to 19.
This time around, a Training on Records and File Management will also be held, the sessions participated by Records Officers from 12 Resident Offices in Sarawak.
The campaign and training will be held in three modules namely Module 1: Briefing on The Best Records Management Awards of the Year and Records Management Training to be held on Apr 17, Module 2: Practical in Records Processing on Apr 18 and Module 3: Transfer of Records to State Records Repository on Apr 19.
All the three modules will be held at the State Records Repository from 8am - 5pm.
A short briefing on The Best Records Management Award will be followed by Records Management Training to be implemented before the audit session in all Resident Offices.
The campaign aims to create awareness among government departments and agencies on the importance of proper management and maintenance of records and archives.
In addition, the campaign encourages the transfer of systematic records and archives of government departments and agencies to the State Records Repository.
