-

KUALA LUMPUR: Global Movement of Moderates Foundation chairman and CEO Datuk Dr Nasharudin Mat Isa yesterday strongly refuted the allegation by PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli that he had received funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd, a former subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Nasharudin, in a statement, stressed that the allegation by Rafizi made in a Statutory Declaration implicating him were baseless and irrelevant and served as a gross defamation to him and PAS.

“I strongly deny his baseless allegations of my having received any form of payments and/or funding from the sources as described by him in his Statutory Declaration,” he said.

Nasharudin said he was not only willing to cooperate on any investigation conducted by the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission but had also sought and submitted for legal counsel as the next course of action.

This included initiating legal action as well as any other appropriate action deemed reasonable, expedient and in accordance with the rule of law, he added.
