Eric Trump is still miffed at Chelsea Handler

-

ERIC Trump is following in his dad’s footsteps again, keeping the family tradition of feuding with female humourists alive.

Recently the president’s second eldest son made it clear that he’s still salty about comedian Chelsea Handler’s month- old tweet reacting to his baby announcement. Handler’s response to the happy news? “Just what we need. Another person with those jeans.” And yes, she misspelled genes. On Tuesday while chatting with Mehmet Oz, better known as Dr Oz, on his self-titled talk show, Trump echoed one of dad’s favourite comebacks to describe Handler’s joke: “Sad.”

“Sad that society’s gotten to the point where something as beautiful as this and life and babies and innocence ... really gets taken down like that because of politics,” Trump said. “I mean, that’s how divided we’ve become as a nation. ... It’s really, really sad. This is a very special thing and it should be celebrated.”

At the time Handler quickly tried to correct her mistake (which older brother Don Jr. made sure to pounce on), claiming she was “stoned,” but the Twittersphere wasn’t about to let her off that easy.

Eric Trump wasn’t about to miss the chance to fi re back with a little pettiness, either.

“When someone spells genes incorrectly, you kind of have to turn your head and ignore it a little,” he told Oz. Your move, Chelsea. — WP-Bloomberg
