PKR-PAS tie-up: Azmin chooses to wait and see

-

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is taking the waitandsee approach with regard to developments on the ‘ tahaluf siyasi’ or political cooperation between Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and PAS, with the decision to be made final by the PAS Ulama Syura Council soon.

He said at the moment, the Selangor state government administration comprising PKR, DAP and PAS would continue working as a team based on the mandate given by the people in the last general election.

“It is our responsibility to keep the people’s trust in us for a term until the next general election.

“So, do not speculate (on PASPKR ties) because as stated by PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, we would respect the decision of the PAS Ulama Syura Council. Now we wait for its decision,” he told reporters after an Excellent Service Awards 2016 presentation and appreciation ceremony here yesterday.

Mohamed Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, was asked to comment on PAS’ status in the Selangor state government following the party ‘s decision at its 63rd Muktamar (General Assembly) recently, of passing a resolution to sever ties with PKR.
