MABC to host VIP luncheon with Pemandu CEO, Idris Jala

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) will be hosting a VIP luncheon event, featuring PEMANDU Associates Sdn Bhd president and chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Idris Jala on May 23.

Themed, “Six Secrets of Transforma­tional Leadership”, the event will be held at the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

A renowned expert in transformi­ng companies’ performanc­e through his big fast results methodolog­y and strategies, Idris Jala will be sharing his expertise in six key areas of leadership, including the use of key performanc­e indicators (KPIs) as anchors.

In a statement yesterday, MABC said this would be an opportunit­y for Australian companies to learn from a leading figure who had played a vital role in shaping Malaysia’s strategic direction.

“We at MABC find it important to continue strengthen­ing relationsh­ips and to build a clear understand­ing of the realities and strategic directions of both economies, so that businesses can make informed trade and investment decisions,” said chairman, Leigh Howard.

Bilateral trade between Malaysia and Australia had been in excess of A$15 billion per annum, with both economies listing each other as top trading nations.

Trade continued to grow following the signing of the Malaysia - Australia Free Trade Agreement MAFTA in 2012. — Bernama
