Pulau Li Hua JKKK launches security system to alleviate concerns

-

SIBU: The Pulau Li Hua Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) launched the Pulau Li Hua Security System yesterday with the aim of creating a peaceful living environment.

Its secretary Renco Yong stressed that the project was borne out of the residents’ great concern over the level of security at Pulau Li Hua.

“We, the residents of Pulau Li Hua, are very concerned over the level of the security on this island.

“There are youngsters racing their motorcycles here which has created a very unpleasant and noisy environment, as well as pose great danger to residents who are out jogging,” he said.

Renco hoped that the security system, which was launched by Sibu Municipal Council chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King, will greatly reduce problems faced by residents.

“The security system was implemented with the full support of all those residing at Pulau Li Hua,” he said, adding there are 367 occupied houses at Pulau Li Hua to date.

Among those present during the launching ceremony were Pulau Li Hua JKKK chairperson Kapitan Lee Hui Shing, ASP Kushairy Bujang from the Sibu police, Pulau Li Hua JKKK advisors Datuk Toh Chew Hock and Tiong Chiong Ong, as well as the Managing Director of SPN Security Services Sdn Bhd Dato William Ngu.
