-

KUCHING: The bride and her groom sparkled with happiness and smiles so wide which could be seen from the back of the Islamic Complex Hall.

Seated in front of a white lattice and chandelier silhouette backdrop, Amina Saryati Misnu, 28, and Aizzat Affero Jaraiee, 29, received blessings from their guests- of-honour, who were duly escorted by the bride’s father Sarawak Islamic Council president Datu Misnu Taha and his wife Jamilah Said.

Those who came to offer blessings included the Chief Minister’s wife Datin Amar Dato Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, former head of state Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng and wife Toh Puan Norkiah, as well as State Legislative Assembly speaker Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.

Later on, Misnu quipped that although he routinely organised major events, his daughter’s wedding was not an easy thing to put together.

“It is very difficult to know that someone else will be taking care of your daughter from now on,” he said in his speech.

Also present were the groom’s parents,

Amira is the eldest child of Misnu and the late Hanifah Mohsen. She is a public relations executive in Land Custody and Development Authority.

Aizzat is the third child of Jaraiee Samat and Fatimah Pael. Hailing from Miri, he is a mechanical engineer for Tanjung Kidurong Power Plant, under Sarawak Energy Berhad.
