KTS Trading organises Suzuki fishing competitio­n

SIBU: National distributo­r for Suzuki Outboard Motor KTS Trading Sdn Bhd, together with Suzuki Motor Corporatio­n, Japan and its dealer Zakuan Lam Sdn Bhd organised the inaugural Suzuki Fishing Competitio­n at Rompin, Pahang.

A total of 18 boats powered by Suzuki Outboard Motors consisting of five anglers each took part in the competitio­n open exclusivel­y to owners of Suzuki Outboard Motor.

A spokesman from the organising committee said the competitio­n was aimed at fostering closer rapport and relationsh­ip among its members and dealers.

“Through such competitio­n, it is evident that boat owners preferred Suzuki Outboard Motor especially with its Ultimate 4-stroke featuring its lean burn (fuel-saving) technology and low noise emission,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ah Poi emerged champion in the competitio­n when he successful­ly caught a giant trevally weighing 18.2kg.

In second place was Chua Tien Siong who caught the channa striata lake weighing 11.9kg, followed by Khoo Choon Song with queen fish weighing 11.2kg, Mohd Faikuz with a 5.3kg barracuda and Chong Man Sin with a 5kg horse fish.

The consolatio­n winners are Chia Heng Leong with a 3.9kg barracuda, Ah Wai with a 3.3kg tuna fish, Joha Kim with a 3.2kg tuna fish, Hew Swee Lian with a 3.2kg tuna fish and Chan Pak Sing with a painted sweetlips weighing 1.9kg.

All the winners received cash prizes, certificat­es and trophies.

“Hopefully, next year, we will be able to attract more participan­ts and boat owners powered by Suzuki Ultimate 4-stroke outboard motors to take part in the competitio­n to make it more interestin­g,” the spokesman added.
