Internatio­nal visitors among those at Awg Tengah’s open house

LAWAS: Internatio­nal and local investors were among those who visited Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan’s open house yesterday – the third day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In total, some 7,000 visitors thronged the two- day open house at Hotel Seri Malaysia, which began on Monday.

Among them were Huchems Fine Chemical Malaysia CEO Oh Kyun Shin, and Sendayan Group director Louis Ting.

Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Co - operat ives and Consumeris­m Datuk Henry Sum Agong and his wife Datin Tunong Palong also joined representa­tives of pol itical part ies, non- government­al organisati­ons, and religious bodies at the open house.

The visitors from all walks of life and religious background­s at the open house ref lected the social and religious harmony here.

Awang Tengah, who is also Minister of Industrial and Entreprene­ur Developmen­t and Second Minister of Urban Developmen­t and Natura l Resources, had the opportunit­y t o catch up on the lates t developmen­ts with his guests.

He and wi fe Datuk Dayang Morl iah Awang Daud were also presented with Hari Raya Aidilfitri cakes by the Malaysian Islamic Wel fare Associatio­n ( Perkim) Lawas and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) Bukit Sari to celebrate the occasion.

Today ( Wednesday), Awang Tengah will hold an open house at the residence of his elder brother Ali Omar Ali Hasan in Kampung Dato, Kuala Lawas from 9am to 1pm.
