PPKS to hold 2nd symposium on human capital devt

KUCHING: Pusat Pembanguna­n Kemahiran Sarawak ( PPKS) will be conducting a Second Industry Engagement Symposium at RH Hotel, Sibu on July 31.

In its press statement yesterday, it stated that the symposium is part of its ongoing efforts to foster advances in human capital developmen­t.

The inaugural Industry Engagement Symposium was held in April at Grand Margherita Hotel Kuching with over 100 participan­ts from industry and government agencies.

The symposium in Sibu themed ‘ Propelling Industry Through Strategic Human Capital Developmen­t’ is expected to attract at least 150 participan­ts from the industry.

The half- day symposium will provide insights into recent industry developmen­t and technologi­es which include topics covering Industry 4.0, HRDF schemes, Recognitio­n of Prior Experienti­al Learning ( RPEL), and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The speakers are from the industry and government agencies.

Minister for Education, Science and Technologi­cal Research Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong is expected to launch the symposium. Limited places are still available. Interested participan­ts from the industry and government agencies are encouraged to attend.
