HSE officers attend skills development session
MIRI : A group of safety and environment officers from various industries here recently attended a Professional Skills Development Programme entitled ‘ Foundation to Health Safety and Environment ( HSE) Administration’.
The one- day programme which took place at Pustaka Miri was conducted by associate trainer and consultant Kyle Daniel from Puncak Pogun.
According to the general manager and management trainer for Puncak Pogun, Richard Mark Kading, the session aimed to refresh participant’s awareness on existing HSE statutory and regulatory requirements.
“It is also aimed at providing methodologies in adapting the requirements to meet workplaces needs and skills set as well as to enhance participants confidence in implementing and administering the HSE requirements at their workplace,” he said
The participants were from a variety of professions including graduates, practising HSE officers and executives, administrative personnel as well as industries such as transportation services, manufacturing, construction and civil engineering, oil and gas.
Two of the participants were students from local colleges who were sponsored by Puncak Pogun as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR) aimed at developing youths.
Also present during the programme was the director of Puncak Pogun Zaleha Mohamad.
