Wah Seong’s Indonesian unit secures RM103 million contract in Kazakhstan
KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corporation Bhd’s Indonesian unit, PT. Wasco Engineering Indonesia has bagged a US$ 24.22 million ( RM103.64 million) contract from Siemens SAS to design and build up of three substations, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning ( HVAC), for a project in Kazakhstan.
The scope of work of the contract involves three dimensional ( 3D) modelling, structural analysis and design, blast wall design and design of all ancillary system such as lighting, safety, fire and gas detection.
“It also includes the provision of all necessary manufacturing drawings and full procurement of all items within its design scope and subsequently, the responsibility for all aspects of the construction phase including installation and integration of all of the free-issue equipment,” said Wah Seong in a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
The activity is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2017 and will be completed by Oct 30, 2018.
The contract is for the provision of engineering, design, supply and fabrication services within the business scope of the Engineering Division of the group and the risks are the normal operational risks associated with the said business.
“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Wah Seong Corporation Group over the contract period.
“The contract is project specific and is not renewable,” it added. — Bernama
