‘Sarawak peaceful due to its leaders’

-

LAWAS: Sarawakians are blessed with a team of leaders who not only strive to gain back Sarawak’s rights but also have successfully fostered peace and harmony and brought progress to the people.

As such, Sarawakians should be thankful that there is political stability, spearheaded by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) through Barisan Nasional ( BN) as the backbone, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili said.

Thus, the people should give their undivided support to the BN leadership headed by Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg for their relentless efforts to create an environment of political stability and greater development, he added.

“We pay tribute to the chief minister who succeeded in developing Sarawak into the most developed state.

“In Lawas too, we are honoured to have Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also well known in Sabah as a committed and people- oriented leader,” he said when met during the recent dinner with Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Datuk Henry Sum Agong who is also Lawas MP.

Maximus said the determination of Sarawak leaders in championing the rights of the state and its people was made easier by the openness of federal leaders led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak

He hoped that those who are educated would take the lead in rallying support for BN in Ba Kelalan so that the state constituency goes back to BN.

Also present at the function were Lawas district officer Hussaini Hakim, Temenggong Kading Silo, Lun Bawang community leaders and PBB members from Ba Kelalan.
