Tabung Haji to introduce module on Masyair Operation next year

-

MAKKAH: Tabung Haji ( TH) will introduce a special module to expose the future pilgrims on the real situation of the Masyair Operation in its serial haj course beginning next year.

‘ Masyair’ is the phase where pilgrims perform the Haj rituals outside of Makkah, namely, the ‘wukuf’ in Arafah, a stop- over or night’s stay in Muzdalifah and ‘stoning of the devil’ in Mina, before the pilgrims return to Makkah for ‘ tawaf’, ‘saie’ and ‘ tahlul’.

TH group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Johan Abdullah said the new approach came about following complaints and feedback from this year’s Haj pilgrims on the cluttered tent site as well as the distance from the camping site to the Jamrah Complex for stoning.

“Prior to this, the courses were held in air-conditioned venues and that the future pilgrims did not get to feel the actual situation. So, I have asked TH management to emphasise on the real situation of Masyair Operation in the serial haj course.

“InsyaAllah (God willing), we will demonstrate the situation at the camping site in Arafah and Mina to the future pilgrims in a practical form next year so that they can have a feel of what the actual situation is like,” he told reporters at the TH headquarters at the Abraj Janadriyah Hotel here on Wednesday. — Bernama
