MK Curtain launches first branch in East Malaysia

KUCHING: MK Curtain opened its first branch in East Malaysia at Emart Batu Kawa yesterday.

It is the 20th branch in Malaysia since MK Curtain was establishe­d in 2005, the other 19 branches are located in Peninsular Malaysia including in Klang Valley, Batu Pahat and Nilai.

“We have a wide array of curtains that are very affordable. We also provide various services such as designing the curtains and the workmanshi­p,” said MK Curtain Berhad managing director Datin Moon Sze Fui at the opening ceremony.

She adds that MK Curtain is aiming to be a one-stop service outlet for consumers to improve the ambience of their homes or office by providing a wide array of curtain designs and colours.

The branch also offers customers a varied selection of pillows for the living room and bedroom.

According to a statement from MK Curtain Berhad, they chose Emart Batu Kawa as it is one of the most popular and fast growing shopping malls in Kuching.

After Batu Kawa, MK Curtain Berhad will spread its wings to Bintulu and Miri before making its way to Sabah.

Also present at the opening ceremony yesterday were councillor from Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Wifred Yap representi­ng Batu Kitang assemblyma­n Lo Khere Chiang; political secretary to the chief minister Tan Kai, MK Curtain Berhad chairman Dato Calvin Khiu Fu Siang, MK Curtain Batu Kawa partner Nicole Chin and Mary Teoh Sweet Gaik, and Emart Group of Companies managing director Ngu Ting Sii.
