Organising committee invites Head of State to IAF 2017

KUCHING: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the organising committee of Islamic Affairs Forum ( IAF) 2017, led by the Army Eastern Field Command Commander Lt- Gen Datuk Wira Mohd Zaki Mokhtar, at Astana Negeri in Petra Jaya near here yesterday.

The visiting delegates handed over to Taib an official invitation to the forum, to take place at Masjid Solahuddin Al-Ayubbi in Penrissen Camp near here this Nov 9.

The IAF, which will be staged for the first time in Sarawak, is a collaboration between the Armed Forces Eastern Field Command, Sarawak Islamic Council ( MIS) and Bank Muamalat.

MIS president Datu Misnu Taha, Armed Forces Eastern Field Command chief- of- staff Brigadier- General Datuk Subari Tomo and Bank Muamalat Sabah and Sarawak regional manager Datin Fauziah Abu Bakar were the other three visiting delegates.
