Former pupils donate water purifiers to school
KAPIT: Primary 6 pupils of 1982 of SJK( C) Hock Lam recently raised RM9,000 to purchase two sets of water purifiers ( cuckoo brand) for their alma mater.
The 1982 ( pupils) alumni represented by Anita Wong, Chong Ai Lian and Apple Teo handed over the donation to the school represented by its headmaster Wong Siew Chien at the simple ceremony.
Siew Chien thanked the former students for their donation which he described as useful to the school population that no longer have to bring drinking water from home. SJK( C) Hock Lam is the only Chinese aided school in Kapit district. It has some 700 pupils and 40 teachers.
