Pro Chancellor: Protect good name of UiTM

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Graduates from Universiti Teknologi Mara ( UiTM) are told to protect the good name of the university.

The call came from UiTM Pro Chancellor Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Ahmadshah Abdullah.

A total of 356 students receiving their degrees and diplomas at the 87th convocatio­n were among 1,438 students graduated from the university.

Ahmadshah said graduating was a starting point for the long journey (of life) that lay ahead.

“The university has prepared a platform for you and now it’s time for you to unleash your potential, and be ready to compete in your career,” he said.

The nation, he said, was aiming for dynamic and sustainabl­e developmen­t by moving towards National Transforma­tion 2050 ( TN50) and Industrial­isation 4.0.

“With such a scenario in the country, you must be prepared to help the country economical­ly and socially.”

UiTM Rector, Professor Dr Jamil Hamali was present.
