Inter-mosques sepak takraw competition on Nov 11 - 12

MIRI: Masjid Darul Istiqamah at Kampung Luak will hold an Inter-Mosque Sepak Takraw Competition on November 11-12, and 25-26 at the Kampung Luak sports court.

Organisersaretargeting30teams to compete in the third edition of the annual competition.

Mosque chairman Shaikh Naeemuddin Shaikh Aminullah said the competition is in connection with the mosque’s 15th anniversary next month.

The categories are veterans’ Bekenu assemblywoman Rosey Yunus Cup, closed-invitational Lambir assemblyman Ripin Lamat Cup, and open Sibuti MP Datuk Ahmad Lai Bujang Cup.

The closed-invitational category will be held on Nov 1112, while the other two categories will be held on Nov 25-26.

For the Rosey Yunus and Ripin Lamat cups, the top three prizes are RM300, RM200 and RM100 respectively, along with trophies and medals, while the entry fee is RM50 per team.

For the Datuk Ahmad Lai Cup category, the top three prizes are RM600, RM400 and RM200 respectively, along with trophies and medals, while the entry fee is RM80 per team.

The closing date for the closedinvitational category is Sunday ( Nov 5), while the closing date for the open and veterans’ categories is Nov 19. The draw will be held on the same day at 4pm.
